My image “Vicarious Mustache” has been selected out of over 1100 submitted images as an Honorable Mention in the Minneapolis Photo Center’s exhibit “Off the Cuff: The Spontaneous and Unrehearsed”. The selected images will be on exhibit at the MPC from January 20th to February 26th, 2011.

I just today was told that five of my images will be a part of the Northern Spark Art Festival in Minneapolis….and I didn’t even submit any – well, that’s not completely true. I did submit the photos to the Minneapolis Photo Center’s call for entries for their Early Morning, After Dark exhibit. I didn’t make the juried cut for the show, considering the pics didn’t really fit into the theme all that well, but the MPC did like the photos enough for Northern Spark, which is cool.
The Minneapolis Photo Center will have an exhibit located under the Central Bridge Overpass – crazy, right? Images from many local photographers will be shown in a slide show on the concrete wall of the overpass for festival goers to view. My photos were all shot using the iPhone 3GS for a grainy unfinished look and were meant to portray a sort of grogginess associated with early morning or late night… Continue reading
